CSX Lithonia Yard office
during October 1999. Lithonia is the location of
a busy industrial park and a connection with the
Atlanta, Stone Mountain & Lithonia Railroad.
The ASM&L serves a quarry in Lithonia. The
CSX yard is located along Stone Mountain Street.

The GNRR yard is located at the corner of Marr

Ex-SAL Tucker, GA depot on July 28,
2000. CSX stations motive power just south of the
depot. With the exception of being painted in CSX
corporate colors, the appearance of the depot has
changed little during the 1990's, as evidenced by
this 1990 photo. The depot
is located on Main Street. Added 3/30/2001. |

Former Southern Railway tower
adjacent to the road's Atlanta Spring Street
headquarters. The tower controlled traffic on the
shared tracks to Howell Junction (foreground
tracks to the left), SR and CofG lines to Macon
and A&WP line to Montgomery (foreground
tracks to the right), and the wye connection to
the Georgia Railroad (background tracks
disappearing under the street overpass). The
white building behind the tower is the Richard B.
Russell Federal Building, built on the site of
